Attention Herpers that care for Yellow Anacondas, Burmese Pythons, Northern & Southern African Pythons!!!
Due to the recent additions to the Lacey Act, we have been receiving numerous inquiries as to how this affects Pennsylvania herpers. Currently there are no laws prohibiting the "possession" of these snakes in Pa. 60 days after the additions are published to the Lacey Act, you will no longer be able to transport, purchase, aquire or sell them across state lines. The penalty is high and the fines are very costly if you are caught. While these snakes pose absolutely NO environmental threat to our area, this is Nationwide and affects all of us regardless. If you move out of this state you will not be permitted to take your animals with you. Please follow these links for more information as to why this ban has gone into effect.....
